Hi, my name is Elisabeth and I'm a bibliophile. I'm also an Anglophile. And probably a few other -philes as well. I have a bachelor's degree in English and I have hopes of earning a master's degree in Library and Information Science. That is, however, rather far away because of the rising costs of living and college.
I am married to a wonderful man, Nathen, who puts up with my voracious love of books and my lack of clearheadedness. It helps that he, too, loves books. We also love the outdoors. We are both Christians, and our lives reflect that.
My favorite genres of literature are fantasy, sci-fi, and the English classics. I'm not a huge fan of modern literature, non-fiction, or most books written by Americans. I am an American, but sometimes it feels like I belong in the British Isles. There's just something about American literature that doesn't resonate with me. That doesn't mean I don't read the above genres -- I just read them less often.
I love to explore antique shops and used-book shops searching for old novels and classics. Tea is my favorite beverage. Cookbooks are one of my obsessions. And I love the scent of freshly-cut grass.
I hope you enjoy my blog and please feel free to leave a comment!
